Thank you for the link to this site, I have just had a look for a possible Irish Ancestor, I see that we have on the Census, Name, Townland/Street, DED and County. I am sorry if I appear ignorant but what does DED stand for? I am sure someone will know.

The UK Government are really foolish not to make the UK censuses free too rather trying to extract extortionate amounts of money for not very slick services. This is a classic public good where the additional cost of user access is zero. More to the point it would be a significant vote winner given the large number of people interested in the subject and would help foster a sense of national identity and interest in the UK from those in the US, Australia, NZ, Canada etc with ancestors in the UK
