so if she was 8mth old on April 2nd when census was taken she must have been born about Aug/Sept 1910

now my grandfather was registered as Robert but was baptised Matthew and it took me ages to realise this. He was always Matthew and I don't think he ever knew he originaly had a different name

There's also this one but she would have been a little more than 8mths in 1911

the original of the 1911 census gives Ada May Alderson's age as "under 9 months"

thank you all - for your help. I am new at this game and got lost in finding my replies. Ada May Alderson born 1910 I have Thomas William Alderson and Sarah Jane Brankston/Brankston Marriage Certificate Dec'1909 but can't find
Ada's birth anywhere. Ada married my father Alfred Thomas Powell in Bradford 1927. They parted 1938/40 I did not know any of my relations on my maternal side. I did not know the family name until 1911.

I can't find a birth or a death for Ada May Alderson . Ada could have remarried as Alfred Th0mas died 1950

I cannot find a death certificate for Thomas William Alderson my grandfather Thomas is listed on the 1911 census staying /living at the home of his parents William and Mary Alderson at 3 Bowden Yard-Willington-Durham. Thomas must have died between 1911 and 1918 as his wife Sarah remarried in1818. I have the marriage Certificate and it states that she is a widow.
