Perhaps,1911census should have been ,,,age---18 months not 8,,??

also an late April &May birth back then was still 6 weeks or 42 days to register a birth same as now. --(UK)..so would make the June quarterly register office returns to the General Registrar--

Margaret you could state the parents if known and if they dont appear on the certificate you dont get it ,but you arent charged the full--£9-25.think you get £4 back..

hello jansmith
I have this death certificate. I sent for it last year. I was so full of hope, but it
was not to be.
I too thought the Anderson Birth was well worth sending for. I am overwhelmed with all the help being given.
thank you Margaret

jansmith Report 12 Feb 2011 21:08

Margaret, that Anderson birth above may be worth checking as index would be the right quarter
given that date of birth i wonder about this death. I know it is a month out (June not May) but a death index is only as good as the person knowing for sure the right information when registering it
Name: Ada May Powell
Birth Date: 3 Jun 1909
Death Registration Month/Year: Apr 2001
Age at death (estimated): 91
Registration district: St Austell
Inferred County: Cornwall
Register number: 6B
District and Subdistrict: 3671B
Entry number: 101

*** none of this fits with 1911 census though does it as she would have been over 1 year old if born in 1909?

It would fit with age at marriage 18 in July 1927 wouldn't it?
I wonder if she was born before they were married but didn't want to admit it in 1911 census??

Hello Tempest

Sorry for the delay my pc is playing up.
Carole is my neice- the daughter of my late sister Muriel
Muriel who was the eldest always said that mother's birthday was
3-5-1909 and that she was born in Billy Row-Crook-C0.Durham.
and that there was some link to Blackpool but am not sure, I am not sure about any hotel.

Thanks yet again Margaret

Shirley - no. If born in Lanchester 1910, she should come under Lanchester.
If born in Crook & Billy Row, she should come under Auckland.

Rutland B - 9m before 2/4/1911 would be 2/7/1910 (but still 1910q3).

there are 3 trees on ancestry that have Ada May Alderson on

each have her birth as 3 May 1909 in Durham, but haven't got a link to a birth record

between them they have her as having between 1 and 5 children including: Emily 1927-1927, Muriel 1929 - 2008 and Jim 1936 -1937
