I'm so angry!!!

I've just bought £5 worth of credits to view the indexed bith record listed below.........

And then looking at the image there is an entry for Ann Norah Regan in St Olave, followed by Bertha Regan in Bolton.

Nothing for an Ann Norah Regan in Bolton at all!!!

I can't see anywhere on the page to submit a correction. Does anyone know how I do this please?

You could have checked it for free on FreeBMD. They've simply mistranscribed it putting place, volume and page numbers for Bertha beside Ann Norah's name.

GR is NOT the place for research.........there are other, better - and FREE - sites for bmd's between 1837 and approx 1945.

NEVER pay for bmd info in that time-span..............................

From FMP. Look at the original and it is actually Bertha. I can understand your frustration but it is a pure mistranscription and it happens all the time.
Use the free sites from now on and don't waste your credits.

Sue, you didn't c&p the volume and page numbers. If you had I think you would find that the Bolton one was 8c 367 which are the numbers for Bertha.

EDIT: OK, you have since edited your post and added the numbers. If you look at the original you'll see the second one is Bertha.

I do normally use freebmd, but I spotted this on here and thought it may have been an entry I'd missed.....just clutching at straws really.

I've been looking for years for Norah Regan born November 1895, supposedly in Bolton. She was baptised with her sister Christiana in 1898 in Bolton. The whole family is missing from the 1901 census.

I have asked for a lookup for this family before, a few years ago, so don't want anyone to waste their time looking for them again.

I still can't find anywhere to submit a correction on here, but as Sue says the records are from FMP is it possible for someone, with a subscription to that site, to submit a correction for me please?

No, that's not her. She's on the 1901 census with her parents Michael & Janie ( Michale & Gennie on Ancestry), plus 3 younger siblings, in Accrington.

Yes, I have Christiana's birth cert. Parents John & Christiana. She was born in December 1897 and died in October 1899 in Stockport.

Her mother died in January 1899 in Bolton.

No, the error's not from FreeBMD, so I can't submit a correction there.

It seems to have happened when the records were added to FMP.

But I don't have a subscription to add a correction and can't see anywhere to do so from this site.
