I do add England to places of birth and I don't get any hot matches either.

I wonder how exact the match for place of birth has to be.

I don't add 'England' to places of birth... So if it is an exact match needed then that is probably why I haven't had any since last year, it won't match to all those who do!

Quite aggree with you Janet with the help of hot matches I found a cousion of my husbands we didn't know existed and managed to meet up it was great as we all took our info and pics for each other and have kept in touch

I have had some great hot matches in the past and really miss them ;-)

I've weeded out most of the ones I received that weren't matches, but I would still like to receive new ones. I have in the past made quite a few new contacts that way, and have been able to share info. Otherwise it all seems a bit of a pointless exercise...

Last I saw of Hot Matches was in December.

One. There's still a note from GR on my main page - Hot Match from a Brand New Member.

Sent a message to the BNM ........... and it hasn't been read yet.

One match - I have nearly 18,000 on my tree.

Not too bothered, used to get pages and pages of them, 99% were Not Matches.

It must be 14/15 months since I had any hot matches and I have well over a thousand names on my tree and like you have updated a lot of relies and added a couple of hundred names in this last year

How often are people getting notified of hot matches? I haven't had any since November, despite adding quite a few more names and updating a considerable number so they fit with the standardized place format, etc.

When we go around grave yards we take photo's of the family graves just for my records though

Well we are well into 2012 and guess what still waiting for hot matches

I haven't had any since 2010 and I have added a couple of hundred in this last year so I should have some but not a one

Thankyou for replying Norma I depended on my hot matches too was gratfull for new leads and new contacts

i have not had any "hot matches" this year my last ones were before Xmas last year.
I do wish GR would go back to the old way at least I got quite a few leads back then.

I wounder if I can break a NEW RECORD for waiting the longest for my hot matches anyone else waited this long ( last Dec since I last had some) ;-)

I wish they would leave well alone Sometime times in trying to improve things they actually make matters worse

I used to log on and striaght away new how many different surnames I had on my tree as well as individuals, not now though only how many individuals

I miss that little bit of info

I´ve still had none either, nor is there anything on my homepage to suggest that any have been looked for.

I haven't noticed it until recently so I think it is fairly new. You are probably correct and will only see it appear after you next have any matches.

maybe it depends on when there were last hot matches for a member
