Jax

Good to see that you are still here. Sorry I don't know the solution to your problem, however when we aquired a new laptop we had problems with IE9 - it crashed when viewig sites such as Genes. We switched to Firefox which solved that particular problem.

Good Luck Kay

It's because it copies the data as a table rather than just text. When you past it into a word file you should get a nice tabular result but when pasting into a text file each cell of the table is on a new line whether there is data in it or not.

If the data you are copying has a view printer friendly format option then select that before copying.

Looks like your 'Compatability view' isn't set!

Some info here

Just to help anybody else with this problem:

If you are using Windows and Internet Explorer try this.

At the top of the screen where the address for the website is a little symbol that looks like a torn piece of paper. Click on this and it should change colour. Do the same for any website that you cut and paste content from.

Its called Compatiblily View.

If you select Compatibility View for a website then it will use Compatibility View whenever you access that site until you cancel it (by reselecting the torn paper icon).

There is a performance penalty in using Compatibility View, so if you find GR slow it will be even slower in Compatibility View. That shouldn't be a problem for your new laptop, Jax.
