A friend pointed me to a free area on another well known research site which had or has lists of middle names which can, she says, be useful.

I have accessed the site on several occasions but when I try to use the search facility (select County - okay) select first surname letter....my pop up blocker kicks in.

I have deactivated my pop up blocker and it still blocks the next step. I can't see how this can happen when i've definitely de-activated the blocker. (I know that sounds daft but it's true)

I just wonder if anybody uses this site and knows the area i'm on about and can tell me if it works for them. Thanks. Malc.

Works OK for me.
However, I have my browser set to open links in a new tab, so problems with popups don't arise for me anyway.
Sorry it's not much help.

Thanks both. I think, with the "slowness" problem on GR I need to be looking at another browser anyway, and perhaps ditching this steam powered laptop!
