The Butchers Arms was most definitely on the corner of Cross Street and Barrack Street.

I found this link which mentions old streets in Devonport and includes the Butchers Arms.

Note it mentions the elevations on Barrack Street and Cross Street, and that Cross Street is now Raglan Road.

I've just looked on Google maps and you can clearly see where the now Raglan Road and Barrack Street intersect - looks like it's all flats now.

So definitely one and the same pub.

In Kelly's 1914 Trades Directory are the following entries under Public Houses.

Butchers Arms, Herbert Perry, 4a, Barrack Street and 13, Cross Street, Devonport.

Butchers Arms, John Pursey, 48, Cremyll Street, East Stonehouse, Plymouth.

So it looks as though Ann-Marie's pub is in two streets (on the corner?) and the other is no connection.

The pub could have changed street names during its history.
My husband's parents' house did.
Are you sure there were 2 pubs, both called the Butcher's Arms, at the same time?
And I still think of it being on 2 streets, one running aCross the other.

In 1911 the Butcher's Arms is in Cross Street, no Butcher's Arms showing in Barrack Street. (Just a Fonda Hotel and a New Market Hotel)

Ann Marie - that link you provided had both Cross Street and Barrack street as the address - might it have been on the corner of the two?

Or do you know that they are two separate pubs.

There is a Butcher's Arms on Barrack street but i am looking for Cross Street.

Are those streets anywhere near St Dominic? There are also a few articles about a Butcher's Arms in that area.

I notice that link gives it's address as Barrack Street/Cross Street.

I came across this advert in the newspaper archives:

There are a few similar adverts over a few years so wonder if it became a used car dealers? One of the adverts had the name Holt.

From that website they mentioned Barrack Street. It appears to be next to a building site.... (and new houses on the other side)

I wonder if this it on ebay - Edit - the link you posted also listes the pub being on Barrack Street which on google maps is in an area that has being redeveloped

I'm looking for information on The Butcher's Arms, 13 cross street, Devonport, Plymouth, Devon.

My ancestor Samuel Perry took it over in 1889, he then passed it on to his son Herbert Perry in 1914.
I don't think it is a pub anymore but i would like to know what happened to it and what it looks like today.
I've been searching on Google Maps for a satellite picture but i cant even find the street.
