Much improved!! Also you can move the dashboard around, so can view the whole thing by shifting it up the screen.

Just had a look at that Detective ...so much better ...I can see all the page numbers too.

I have my Compatibility off for my tree and on when I am on the boards ...my computer remembers to put Compatibility back on for the boards for me.

I run XP IE8 my zoom is at 100% and reverts to 75% when in tree.

I am finding the tree is working a lot better for me anyway...may not have to upgrade Computer after all :-D

Best news I have had all week...things are looking up :-D

I might retick my membership renewal now....I said might :-D

Oh, I say! There has been a change on 'View other trees', unless it happened last week and wasn't spotted.

When the Dashboard opens, you can only see your own listed.
There is now a tab next to 'My trees' which says 'Trees shared with me'
Click on that and there is a seach box.

Start to type the name of the contact, and the names of the tree owners appear as you do so.

Sooo much easier and quicker to find the one you want! :-D

Susan, thanks for the further message.
I have found the Save button and can delete and alter my relatives on the tree but I cannot add. I have tried entering all the new details,then Save but it then defaults to me and my nearest and dearest. I have no problem getting onto other trees or altering relatives already in the system but it just isn't having any extra siblings, parents, etc-jl

I cannot help with sight problems but we do not have to use the tree dashboard.
We can also access other trees from "My Contacts".

Margaret, we would love to be able to help, but without knowing a bit about how your talking computer works, it is difficult to make sensible suggestions.

I can understand that it reads messages etc. and presumably types what you say, but how do you get it to click on a particular bit of the screen? If you are scrolling down, how does it know when to stop?

just a note to everyone Margret has sight problems , and uses her computer to read for her

You should be able to see your Save button to add to your tree onthe very bottom of the page after you have gone to 75%.

Try using the F11key it should take you to full screen view,

F11 will also return you screen to normal view

also try refreshing your browser, (right click then select refresh)

As a general enquiry Margaret, I had the same problem as you. I have now managed to access the tree by reducing it to 75% ( what a faff) but I haven't been able to add any relatives since this new change over. Does your computer allow you to add relatives or is this just one my problems . -jl

I still have had no luck

On my list of other trees is a row of numbers along the bottom of the list. Click on one of these to bring up the next part of the list.

Try reducing your Zoom to 75% (bottom right hand corner of your screen)...this will show up the numbers at the bottom of the page ...you are only viewing the first page there are other pages to view.

I also find Compatibility on for the boards and Icons and off for the tree also works .
I have found it is all to do with the new tree being made up on big screens so a lot get lost around the edges ...if you know what I mean
