Hi there, I've just found a photo of my dad with his 'platoon'. At the bottom of the photo is "43 Platoon No. 2 P.T.C. Guildford, Sept 1947". Dad would have been 18 years old. The names of those in the photo (presumably) have been written on the back along with "all my friends of 43 platoon". I'm not sure where to search for clues from here so any suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks.

If you type "43 platoon No. 2 P.T.C." into a google search you will see it is a Training Centre for The Royal Green Jackets.

27 INFANTRY TRAINING CENTRE, THE PRIMARY TRAINING CENTRE, THE DEPOT AND THE 7th PARACHUTE BATTALION

There is a big paragraph about the Regiment in that year.

The Royal Green Jackets have a very interesting museum in Richmond, Yorkshire.
