My name is Dierck Beardsley.I am looking for information and / or family descendants of the Bent family in Gilmorton. Leicestershire. My line of descent is from Willam Beardsley 1816-1870 and Elizabeth Bent 1783-1857. She was descended from William Bent 1779-1849 and Mary Bent nee Allen.1783-1857.
William Bent had a younger brother Allen Bent 1787-1873. who married Ann (Peake ????) and had issue. Some of these descendants went to NewZealand.
I am in possession of a Bent Family Bible with birth dates and also a typewritten history of the Bents of Gilmorton which was provided my a Martin Bloxsam in 1916.
I know there is someone out there named Paul or Ronald who had correspondence with a lady called Shelagh Eastling, sadly passed away. and it may be I have information of use to this person. Regards Dierck
