Good advice. Thanks. I've started a new tree for a friend who is thinking of joining up. I'm also thinking of setting up some "branch trees" for people who I suspect are related but can't quite link to my tree yet. :-)

Thelma, what about people who and ( i'm one ) who use the diferent web addresses as listed at the bottom of the page,

I stay logged in to all the addresses below because when .co.uk is playing up i can switch at any time

So if i want another account i have to log/sign out of at least one of them

I repeat
No need to log out.
Look at the bottom left of this page and you will see :-

Genes Reunited Australia

Genes Reunited New Zealand

Genes Reunited South Africa

Create your second account on one of those.

Thelma, having 4 trees and never logging out is different to coming back to the site to register for another tree/account,

You need sign out in order to get to the page with the link to the page where you can sign up for another free account

Once you have more than one tree/account you can access any individual tree/account from your saved link to that tree/account, no need to log out and in again

Just use a different Genes address

I have three trees on here. i use the same email address but a different password for each one. You just have to remember to log out of the one you are using if you want to work on one of the others.

Have you tried signing out and starting again?

If I recall correctly, you do need a different password for each account you have.

I take it that you don't log/sign out?

Try login/signing out, then instead of comming back through a saved link, Just enter www.genesreunited.co.uk into the address bar

If that doesnt work then delete your cache and try again

There was a thread on here a while ago, which I now can't find, asking if it was possible to have another separate tree on GR. The answer was, if I remember correctly, to open a second free account. Does anyone know how I go about doing that? When I go into the Genes Reunited site, it automatically picks up my details and I can't find anywhere to go in as a "new" person.

PS: I am expecting visitors who may or may not arrive today(!) - if I disappear suddenly, I will get back ASAP - the computer is in the spare bedroom. Will be very grateful for any help.
