Finding the correct birth

You need to compare to other info that you have. Can the person be found on a census with parents and/or siblings? |

I forgot to add I have his daughter Sarah's marriage cert for 1847 and he was deceased then so only chance is 1841 census but I have not found him |

I have just found a death for a James jackson in 1842 age 66 but not sure if he's mine but have sent for cert, that would make him born 1776 so still not sure if he's 1 of the births i have found for 1778 or 1784 but still cannot find him on 1841 census |
