Hi
Please could some one answer this question for me.
I havn't bought a death cert before only marriage certs.

I have a grt grt grandmother born in Limerick. If married then married in Ireland.
I only have census info for her

I have found what I believe to be her death oreg and that of her husband John Graham.

I was sort of hoping that who ever the informant was gave Bridget's maiden name if they knew it.

Many thanks

I only have experience of English certificates but on these you would not get a woman's maiden name at that time. It was 1969 before maiden name was added to a woman's death certificate.

Have a look here to see what information is on English certificates (don't think Irish ones would be much different):-

Thank you Kathleen,

That's the end of the line for her then.
I don't have her maiden name just her forename and married name.
I've tried searching in Ireland for a Bridget to John Harrington but it's impossible.
They had one child Mary also born in Ireland and she was much older than the children born in this country. So, have no idea of when they married or where in Ireland.
At least I will save some money on this cert and buy a different one instead

Thanks for your help

If they had children born in England have you looked to see if any of their children's births were registered? If so then Bridget's maiden name would be on the children's birth certificates.

Have you got them on any census record? Sometimes family members might be staying with a couple and you can find names that way.

Was her husband John Graham or John Harrington? You give both names in your last post.

Sorry Kath
my mistake,Bridget's husband was John Graham.
I'm also ordering certs for the Harringtons and got them mixed up!
