Hardly anyone uses GR for research......this site's real value is the help given by its paying members

If you want to cross-refer census info about a wife's name.............try looking at freebmd for the marriage.................providing it took place after July 1837

Unless you/we have picked up the wrong family, something fishy is going on as by 1881, Philadelphia is described as a widow

1851 gives his wife as Philladelphia Wells!

Please could someone check and see if they can read a spelling in 1861 census i cant read the name of george wells born 1808 in tudeley. its his wife i cant read any suggestions please
