The only people registered at 16 Brent View Road in the 1901 census are the Saunders family as shown in my posting above. No ground floor or other is indicated - using FMP

As I'm not used to Ancestry, am I doing something wrong looking up the addresses, names etc. I can see what Detective has found and I have done street searches for the name Enfield up and down both Belle view Terrace and Brent View Road on FMP.

I can't see David Saunders on the Electoral Roll in 1901 for that address

Was it that the Electoral Registers were done at a different time to the census? Did the Saunders move out and the Enfields move in, or was a ground floor dwelling formed at some point?

What am I missing please - something obvious knowing me!!

greyghost Report 20 Nov 2012 22:27

Ah! David is SANders in 1900 on the Electoral Roll at 16 Brent View Road - Ground Floor! (transcript says 10). Same in 1907/09

I don't know, Elizabeth.

The information might have been collected the year before in preparation. One of mine had died at the end of the previous year, but was still listed on the following years' ER.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Nov 2012 14:48

if you wanted to follow up re the date, you could ask Harrow Council if they know.

The Library has a Local History section.
