The thing about his middle name is that his mates probably did know. And he could have had the nickname 'flower'

Not so unusual for squaddies to do this, not cruel just a fun thing to do.

My dad's was 'spindle' as he was tall and thin.

I was watching something on TV the other day....probably the Chaser and a question came up about Bob Wilson the ex Arsenal goalkeeper (In my following the game days). His middle name was Primrose too
