Is it still the case with the new tree that you cannot delete a wrong spouse if there are other members attached ?

(I have read the Help page but am...hoping) :-(

It seems that is still the case. Depending on the position in the tree, you have to either delete all ancestors, or all descendents

You could just change the person's name to either the correct name or 'unknown', or 'delete' or something similar for your own benefit.

A lot depends on who is attached.
I have just managed to delete a duplicate person after countless tries.
William Kilminster had a son
Daniel(in tree twice) once with his first wife and children
and again with his second wife and child.
Some weeks ago I transfered all the details to one Daniel but it would not let me delete the redundant one because he was attached to his father and himself.
I have just opened up the details and it let me delete his father there and only then could I delete the duplicate.
Only seven more duplicates to go!!
