I would say it's definitely a T. If you look at the S for Sidney it is totally different.

The couple of trees I have looked at don't appear to be very accurate. They have the marriage of Edward and Margaret in 1891 as this

All the trees on Ancestry say that the son of the above is Edward S Powner...
I've looked at the original document but to me it could either be an S or T.

The information above is literally all we know. We would like to know anything but would like to know more about her parents.
Edna had a child but we don't now who the father is .. she was married to Edward Bird in 1940 which makes us think he may have been him but her children's surnames are Bate? Think we may have to get a birth certificate for this though.
