Have you tried "Search all trees" under the Search button above?

If you find a possible match you can contact the tree owner to see if you have a match.

I would suggest that you delete the automatic message that is already in the message box and write your own as members will not open their tree without first establishing the connection with you.

Hi Charlie
I dont know how much info you have but from the death notice on paperspast, I can see that this man lived on Tatara Street, Nelson and his wife was called Hannah.
There are no children named on any announcement

Working back , it looks as though he married Hannah Barrie in 1875.
Hannah died in 1924 aged 77yrs and is buried with her husband in Wakapuaka Cemetery

Children born to a Dan/Daniel Ross and "Hannah" in NZ:
( no guarantees that all refer to the same couple)

John Ross b 1875
Florence Susanna Adams Ross b1876 ** not a child**
Hannah Ross b 1877 ( appears on latter ER's with parents, and is unmarried)
Daniel Fleming Ross b 1878

EDIT:
Can confirm that Florence Susannah Adams Ross is NOT a child from this family.
Her mother was "May Hannah" who was already a widow at 1905

There was a man known as Fleming Ross who married in 1912 but was killed in action in 1916. He was an accountant in Wellington and was appointed as Major Fleming Ross in WW1.
I know he had at least 2 daughter who both later married but as far as I can tell this man was called David Fleming Ross rather than Daniel.
Unfortunately there is no mention of parents on any news paper articles.

I can find no NZ birth for a David Fleming Ross ???

Anne
Thanks for your help and info, Dan Ross did marry a Hannah Bartram in Nelson on 12/06/1875 and they had a son John born 31/10/1875. I think from her death certificate that she also had a daughter born 2 years earlier. There appear to be no other known children.
Kind regards
Charlie

Thanks for the tip about Mundia. I have trees on Ancestry and I think the tree you are referring to is Jon Fairless's tree, I have been trying to contact him but without any success so far. As Mundia is linked to Ancestry this maybe the same tree, but for some reason it won't let me log on to make sure.
