Eliminate that family as it looks like the father was a William Henry which doesn't fit your info.

Ozibird, I'm a little confused. The thread you posted at 19:55 last night shows the census of a Gill family in the 1911 census. You follow this with a sentence saying we can eliminate this one as these may be the parents....you then give names of marriages. Did you mean eliminate the census or the marriages????

The age of Sam on the marriage cert looks like either 47 or 41 years. Rhoda is definately 41

Meant to say. The other odd thing is that on the 1911 census with Dora Gill it states her as a widow, yet on the marriage cert it state Frederick Gill's occupation as Foreman at ...........????? which I cannot read

The witness names on the marriage certificate are really hard to read but they look like J I cannot decipher the whole forename but the surname looks like Tattershall and M Anne Strakell. But it is really hard to read, so this may be incorrect.

The Sam and James Rayne are really becoming a mystery. The marriage cert and Rhoda's death cert spell it Rayne.

Thank you all so very much, however I am a little confused now. If I am reading all these right.... it is saying there are three different Rhoda Gills, I think!!!

How do I find out the right one to me. My mother had no father named on her birth certificate so I have no link there. It seems very easy to get the wrong one, which I have done before.
