Can anyone help please with ACCURATE info on the above. I know her parents were John Deal and Mary Dawkins. ! have census records of 1841/1851/1861/1871 showing her living in Kent. From 1871 seems vague. Some trees on Ancestry have her as dying in Stockton, Durham in 1874 and others have her dying in Wokingham, Berks in 1902. Family Serach shows a Fanny Deal as being buried in Barham, Kent in 1876. Were there two Fanny Deals in the same family? Glengyle.

Fanny Houlton is probably the one you have seen on Ancestry, death Wokingham. Most census have her born mid - late1840's in Dover, so death age may be a bit out. There are Frances Deal's born 1843 and 1849 Bridge RD and not all births were registered back then. I would suggest Deal brothers/cousins in the area all named a daughter Frances/Fanny around the same time

Given the location I'm sure this must be your Fanny:
Kentish Chronicle - Saturday 14 January 1865
Charles Silk, a waggoner, in the employ of Messrs. Beer, brewers, of Canterbury, was fined £12, and 16s 6d costs, or in default of payment 4 months imprisonment with hard labour, for an aggravated assault on Fanny Deal, of Wootton, on 5th inst.
EDIT: There's a more extensive article about how Charles Silk had tried to ravish her but she successfully resisted but was hurt in the incident. Article forwarded.

That 1876 one isnt her cos that lady was aged 22 at death so born c1854 . Your Lady was born c1841/2
I would be more inclined to get the marriage cert to Richard Chase to see her age and fathers name. It really looks like she met Richard in Kent and then went with him to Durham area
