An interactive map of the location of where the bombs landed on Bath in 1942 has been on the Bath Blitz Memorial Project's website since 2002. Any one seeking the fate of relatives during that period can find this and much more on bathblitz.org

I believe they are working towards that Ken, but as this site has still a way to go in its development I think you will have to be patient :-)

Great site - and wouldn't be good if similar data was available for other major cities such as Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool.

I found out about this yesterday and managed to get into it.
Five rellies (parents & 3 children) were killedalong with about 100 others when a bomb hit an air raid shelter at Dame Alice Owen's school in Goswell Road, London on 15/10/1940 and it flooded.
The mother's body was never found, so it's probably still in the debris.
Having got the exact location I'll go and pay my respects when up there next.

Yep, volume of traffic is slowing the site, I had trouble again this afternoon but seems ok at this time of night :-)

note that the website has been built to be compatible with the latest browser software – so if you access it with old versions of Internet Explorer (IE 7 for example) we suggesting upgrading your browser software.

Even after searching and finding many other news items, the links given don't work. May be the site is down?

Assuming it's back on line later, it may help to date a photo of a bomb damaged home of ours.

Enlarge the map to the full, hover the mouse over the bomb icon to find more information. It's an ongoing exercise and as more information comes to light (from the public's donation of photos and stories) the map will become more full.
