I am trying to find some concrete information regarding my great uncle Sydney Poff where he and his wife Elsie are buried, he died in 1976 and Elsie 1977, they lived for many years in the area of Kenyon Lane, Moston in Manchester. I've tried Philips Park Cemetery and at Moston Lane Cemetery but neither had any information on them. He was christened Charles Sydney but we all knew him as Syd.
Thank you, David

Could he perhaps have been cremated and his ashes scattered? Could you get in touch with whoever registered the deaths (if they are still alive) and ask if they know the final resting place?

The other thing to try is to check in the local papers of the time - there might be a notice of the funerals. These will be available at the main library.

Hello David and welcome to the Community boards.

It may be worthwhile clicking on Search above and then on Search all Trees. Try putting both Charles Poff and then Sydney Poff into the boxes and you will see that several other members have him in their tree.

You can contact the tree owners to see if they know anymore about Syd.
