My sub expired in March and I wasn't going to renew ... around middle of April got email with an offer which I accepted .... $12.00 Can which works out to approx 7.7 pounds for 1 year standard sub

My six months sub was offered to me at £1.33 a month so £7.98 but as I know they were going to charge me special offer at £2 a month in 6 months time I opted for the 12 month sub at £19.95...cut out the messing about :-D

It was £1.67/month from memory ...it may have been £1.66 which is £19.92 ....the six month option was on "special offer" of £1.33/month

Was it £20.04? The usual is £19.96.

AnninGlos...I bet you haven't! £7.98 for six months me....if I wanted to take the 12 month option it was £20.04 - three times (and more) more than you are paying.

I have just renewed and was charged £6. for 12 months. I am auto renew and had two emails and one PM. One e mail warning and one email and 1 PM confirming. I have no complaints.

I never received any notification from GR when my sub was due for renewal either.

So today they took my money but I did not have anything 14 days ago...

It was some years ago when I joined and I paid £7.96 for 12 months by credit card. They have renewed it at the same price every year and sent me a renewal notice one month before it's due.
I have kept the same credit card and the same email address since I joined.
I can't complain

If I look at the cost for me to re-subscribe (end of this month) on the subscription for 12 months it has £1.67 per month (20.04 for the year) but it is crossed through and shows Special Offer £1.33 per month (£15.96 for the year).

If I log out and look at the subscription then it just shows £1.67 per month.

I was contacted earlier this month offering a 20% discount on renewal for 12 months at £1.67 - so £15.96. As it works out at about 30p a week I don't mind it

That link just gave me platinum...so signed out and got this

Actual payment will be taken in one lump

This site has new prices listed. 12 month subscription @ 50 p. per month, i.e 6 pounds per year.

I have just received notification from Genes that my subscription expires 21 May and I will be charged 6 pounds.

OK so sub is due next Sunday...haven't heard a sausage.......

Still randomly inconsistent, and not the way to treat the site's members.

I'm still debating as to whether I will remain a paid member

My sub runs out in August, after the WDYTYA extension.

I joined in 2004, but didn't become a paying member until about 2008/9?

I have never been offered a 12 month subscription.

Until August 2011 I was paying £9.95 for 6 months.

From Feb 2012 I have paid £7.96 for 6 months.

I have not received any notification of a price increase, and as far as I can remember I wasn't told of the price decrease in Feb last year. They just took the lesser amount..

I didn't query it as it was less. :-)
