	This is one of the witnesses on william Clifton Bucks marriage to Charlotte. They lived on the same Street. fmp 1841 Address: St Peter Street, St Peter, Canterbury HALSEY, Richard M 39 1802 Kent HALSEY, Charlotte F 39 1802 Kent HALSEY, Thos M 64 1777 Kent HALSEY, Charlotte F 8 1833 Kent HALSEY, Ellen F 4 1837 Kent BAILEY, Sarah F 65 1776 Kent BAILEY, Harriet F 30 1811 Kent Surprisingly he is an engineer. Just wonder if that is an unlikely friendship for a Romany traveller at the time. He might be a commercial traveller.

	Just looking at a few of the trees on Ancestry. one has this marriage for William 1818 (No Clifton) London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921 about Martha Bateman Name: Martha Bateman Spouse Name: William Buck -a chairmaker Record Type: Marriage Event Date: 19 Jul 1839 Parish: Haggerston St Mary Borough: Hackney Spouse Father Name: Thomas Buck -a chairmaker Register Type: Parish Register They both lived Francis Street no clue from witnesses. I think you said his father should be William. The professions are not quite right.

There's a lot to digest, but we tend to write everything down and keep paper copies as we find it easier to keep everything then in some sort of order. 	Hello everyone! Well apologies for posting on the wrong board. I have no excuse for that one really :-( And sorry for not replying sooner. We have been busy with family and finally got round to a bit more research now. However, many thanks for the helpful replies. :-) I have already been in touch with another member on here who has given me some useful info.
