It's just a strange co-incidence that there are 2 Job/Symons marriages at roughly the same time and place.
The Ancestry tree seems quite thorough so they may be correct.

You are right - above spouse is Bessie.
According to an Ancestry tree both Douglas and Barbara are children of William and Bessie - obviously impossible to tell if they are correct re. Barbara.

Just found a tree on Ancestry with Barbara and Douglas on but with parents names as William Serpell Job and Bessie Symons. (Bessie i suppose could have been a nickname)

So Douglas might not be the child of Edward
