Please could anyone please help....
I'm looking for any information on John Buchanan born around 1878+-5 years in either Lancashire or Cheshire

He was married to Annie but it's hard to make out her surname . They had one child together Eleanor Rose Buchanan born Dec 25th 1904. (MY GRANDMOTHER)
JOHN BUCHANAN seems to be illusive as he I believe he was alive 1904, but Annie was listed as a widow in the 1911 census . I cannot find any information on him :-( either births ,marriages or deaths....
Please I'd appreciate any help

All of you are right, I have my grandmothers birth certificate but I couldn't work her maiden name which is indeed Diggle :-D
John Buchanan seems to have vanished shortly around my grandma's birth, sadly the subject became Taboo when my dad was a child.??

Yes I've wondered that too Buchanan is such a Scots name, really couldn't have been too many generation's back.? I still don't know what became of him, I'd love to tell my dad.

Whitchurch is only about 12/15 miles as the crow flies from Crewe. John's marriage cert could possibly confirm...possible siblings being witnesses at the marriage??

1871 census states that Samuel and Susannah came from Mayo, Ireland.

Doesn't help with John in later years though :-(

Very much appreciated, Samuel has came up before, I'm sending for the marriage certificate after the New year. I do believe they are all the same family group. Amazing but from only a couple of days ago, we knew barely nothing. Now I've even seen the church my great grandparents were married in, wonderful. I've found information that maybe John Buchanan could have gone to Canada , find out soon, as I saw it on a passenger log . Anyway Happy new year to you & everyone else on here :-)
