Is it possible to export my tree on Genes Reunited to, say, the Legacy Tree Maker?
Than you

Yes it is.

Hover of the Family Tree tab above and click on Export Gedcom. Enter your password, submit then click on the Export gedcom button. Note the warning that photos or other documents are not exported, however, the data and information you have on GR remains intact.

You will need a Tree progam (such as the one you mention) installed on your PC to make sense of the file you receive, or you could upload it to a different website.

Please be aware that there have been some problems with file transfers to and from GR - they stated yesterday they were looking into. A member did mention on the Suggestions Board that he did manage a sucessful tfr last evening, so hopefully it is working again.

Thanks IGP.
You described the processt far better than I could have done
Yes I was the member who reported the successful export yesterday evening and Estelle has now confirmed on that thread that the problem is now fixed.

So "Tick in the Box" I think.

Gedcom export has not worked for me for the last two weeks.

Mark
Maybe there is also a Browser issue?
It definately worked for me and I used the export to update another site.
I was using Mozilla Firefox.

If it is still not working for you despite what Estelle has said, then I would recommend reporting the matter to Support so that Genes can be made aware that all is not right.

Just tested an export a few minutes ago. Email with file was received in minutes. Loading it back into my FTM program took three times longer.....!

Only had time for a quick check as yet, but on the face of it it all looks ok
