My aunt who is now deceased told me she was known as Gallagher.
The witnesses on the Wedding certificate are James Corrigan and Mary Sherl? ( hard to read )
Daniel lived at Clarks Buildings Gateshead and Margaret lived at Church Street Gateshead.
I dont have any of the childrens Birth certificates

What is her name on her children's birth certificates?
Was James born before the marriage, or had one of them been married before (or was James illegitimate)?

Kelso is classed as the Scottish Borders so it could have been classed as Northumberland at one time - a bit like Berwick on Tweed.

Have you found her in any censuses prior to marriage?

I was hoping someone would be able to help as I have come to a standstill. I am looking for my Great Grandmother Margaret Dryden, born 1867, married Daniel Cassidy in Gateshead in 1891, I have their marriage certificate but there is no father,s name for Margaret and I don't know where to go from there.
They had six children, Mary, James, Catherine, Margaret ,Daniel ,Ann.
We have been told she was known as Margaret Gallagher but we don't know why.
Any help would be fantastic!
