Reggie cant find marriage of thomas sullivan , occupation Boiler fitter and norah sullivan 1911 census in southwark , she is irish , also living with them are her brothers david and edward , both single
they have 2 children lucy aged 6 and thomas age 2 yrs

Pretty sure they were a lot of half truths and blatant lies!

99% sure my grandfather's mother lied on his birth certificate about being married to the father as there doesn't seem to be a record for a potential marriage either here or in Argentina (where his father was supposedly from).

i know people lied about ages or simply they did know how old they were . i just can find a marriage for a relative , order cert and it didnt match :( oh the joins of genes .

Oh yes, I've seen many cases where a couple claims to be married when they're not. Sometimes because one partner is already married to someone else.
