Grunkle, how did you connect to James in the first place to find that record?

If he's an ancestor then which of his children are you descended from?

Similar record to above:

New South Wales, Australia, Assisted Immigrant Passenger Lists, 1828-1896

Name: James Bainbridge
Birth Year: abt 1813
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Arrival Date: 27 Nov 1838
Vessel Name: Lady Nugent
Origin Location: Ebony, Tupoery

He's listed as a married immigrant.

According to the image he was 25 when he embarked in January 1837 (that was a VERY long voyage then!)

MarieCeleste Report 22 Jan 2013 23:01

According to a tree (unsourced) on ancestry he was married to an Elizabeth Prebble b 1811 in Lyminge, Kent.

They had a son Alfred Bembrick b 22 Oct 1837 in Rye, Sussex, died 1922 Murrumburrah, NSW.

Can't vouch for reliability of info.

How do you think you connect to this man?

Your Bainbridge line originates in the north east of England, according to your other threads

Further to MarieCeleste's information about James Bainbridge.
I think the information means that he was 25 when he embarked, and the birthday was in January of 1837.
On the next page is his wife, Elizabeth, who is also 25, but I do not know which month (November?).
Her birthplace looks like Lemming Kent, and she is the daughter of Ann Previl Farrants (??), who is wife of xxx xxxx.
On the next page is Alfred who is 13 months, possibly birthday October.
