I wrote a little note on Thursday/Friday to a gentleman who is the Grandson of my 3 x great grandfather. This morning i got a letter in the post inviting me to contact him to arrange a meet up.... :-D

Researching:
Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as a Mitchell.

Rang up the gentleman and i am meeting on friday along with his brother, apparently he has another 2 sibblings i did not know about...

Made contact with a cousin I didn't Know I had on Genes R .
Seems we have a lot of ancestors in the Tibshelf/Huthwaite area, named "Cupit"
Can't nip round to see him though, He lives in Australia.
Any one from around there ?
I would be glad to hear from.
