I have found these two entries

Burial: 20 Mar 1726/27 St James, Church Kirk, Lancashire, England William Hindle - Abode: Oswaldtwisle Notes: Duke of Oswaldtwistle Register: Burials 1633 - 1747, Page 111, Entry 20 Source: LDS Film 1470822

both mention he is a Duke but I can find no such person.
Any help or suggestions gratefully received

I think this is a mistake,and should read Duke Street,Oswaldtwistle.

I think Eileen is right as Duke Street in Oswaldtwistle still exists.
