Married Pulteney Malcolm Murray b 1819 in Truro, South Australia on 10/02/1857 - she was his second wife. I am interested in how she came to Australia to marry him and any further details of her ancestors or even a picture of her.

Thanks for the info. I live in Australia and I have Ancestory.com but UK and Australia but obviously I am not asking the right questions in the search engine. I am new to this and find it quite hard at the moment.

As long as you add all the info you have to your Ancestry tree, it will throw up various hints. Check them and the images carefully to make sure they are relevant. Those of us with access to the Australian records on Ancestry could do it for you, but its more satisfying for you if you do your own research

Civil registration in the UK started Sep 1837. Even then it wasn't compulsary to register B or D for a number of years. We also have to consider that some people chose to co-habit rather than marry

Always make an internet search for your parish or area of interest for local sites.

*if* Elizabeth is on a passenger list which has been transcribed/survived her name could well be recorded incorrectly, so keep an open mind with the spelling and yob.
