Can't find record of marriage

My ancestor Robert Thomas - b 1843 in Liverpool to William and Elizabeth Thomas - married Margery between the 1861 and 1871 censuses. I have tried searching for their marriage record but without success. Their first child (that I'm aware of) was born in 1872. Any help would be appreciated as I feel I have searched so much now that I may not be able to see the wood for the trees.
Thank you in advance.

Agree with jax - the bride's name on that 1864 marriage is Margery

Cecilia's baptism for reference:

Liverpool, England, Baptisms, 1813-1906

Name: Cecilia Thomas
Baptism Date: 2 Jul 1871
Parish: Toxteth Park St John the Baptist
Father's Name: Robert Thomas - boilermaker
Mother's name: Margery Thomas

Address: 13 Park Street

I notice on the 1851 that Margery has a sister called Cecilia

Thank you everybody. Robert Pollard was a boilermaker as I have tracked him through the census to 1901. Cecilia's sister Elizabeth was my gt gt grandmother. I will follow the Pye link for now and order Elizabeth or Cecilia's birth certificate to see if that confirms the maiden name. The sister Cecilia on the 1851 census is too much of a coincidence isn't it?
I do appreciate this help. I began my family history research about 6 years ago but for the past 3 years haven't had time to do much with it. I picked it up again about 3 weeks ago and am hooked again! Watch out for my request for help with Edward Hornby shortly as he's my 'brick wall'.

Think you mean Robert Thomas not Pollard

Roberts father in 1851 was a Rigger so that matches.....one of the witnesses was a Sarah Thomas but was crossed out and the surname James was written??....Robert had a sister called Sarah so could be her

It is also a big coincedence that Margery Pye had a sister and Grandmother named
Cecilia....not a common name...get the birth cert by all means, always good to have

Three other children who were born before 1871 who may have died as they are not on the 1871 census....Robert was a boiler maker

Oops - Pollard is another name on my family tree! Yes, I had assumed they had had other children who had not survived before Cecilia. Thank you Jax for their details.
