He might of just been the parish clerk for the other marrs, but not here, I think, as Susannah's also a witness.

I've not seen unrelated women act as witness until the 1920s, where I've come across several protestant marrs in Ontario & Quebec where the minister's wife has acted as a witness.

Thomas is the witness on some of the other marriages on that and adjacent pages so he was probably the parish clerk.

Thanks Choccy - they don't appear to be related to Ann Driver (Banner) which is the line I'm following, but something to bear in mind.

The T in Thomas does look like the first letter of the surname. so Tollfree it is :-D
