You could also go onto FMP and search on there instead

when googling my name (only having the one name Ann plus a very common surname) all it gives is the data for an fairly famous person of the past who definitely is not me! plus lots of irrelevant stuff.

even adding something from my other favourite hobby does not give any results (which is quite good really as it should mean that the sites are as secure as they say)

I've come to the conclusion I am very insignificant

Yes, I have been doing it that way for a while now.

Try Googling your own name - as well as 192 you might be surprised and even shocked by what comes up....!

lancashireann, I agree it gives a lot of results for some names - but it does anyway doesn't it, if you are unsure of area to search.
I think it works well for some situations and not others, but just another tool. And I don't think you are limited with number of free searches either, though haven't tested it!

I didn't know this either but you 2 must have less common surnames, mine gives over 200 results!

Unless of course I am even dimmer and am still doing it wrong

edit - it did work better when I put OH's name in with " round it

George. I am getting dimmer by the year - def. a 40 watt bulb now!
But this does work doesn't it - better still it gives 1st part of postcode.
Just thought this might narrow down a search before forking out!

Hello everyone.
Maybe I am being dim, but in my daily ramblings I came across this little trick. Possibly everyone but me knew it, but if not it might prove useful.
When you go on 192.com and look for 'Fred Bloggs', they all show up with no location. However, I google searched 'Fred Bloggs 192.com' and found all locations shown.
Am I going mad or is it really so??
