	The marriage cert should give his marital status .providing he was being truthful. Sometimes when someone was divorced they forgot about the previous marriage and reverted back to being single!

	No, I think that was the lady he DID marry. There seems to be a mix up with the names. He married Phyllis Payton. Thanks Andy.
