William Timmons who emigrated to Maryland with his new wife Priscilla in 1680 was sponsored.

A document has been found in the Maryland archives stating that William & Priscilla Timmings were to have sponsored passage to America and they would be goven 50 acres of land in Maryland to settle.

So although the current descendants of William Timmons in the US are actually from the Timmings tribe. Comments or other info appreciated. David Timmins
