birth records- no name given, just female

I've been looking for births, for our tree and one entry that came up was recorded as surname and no christian name, just female, mothers maiden name and the book entry no.s. Any suggestions as to the reason for this, I thought it may have been that the child had passed away, have not found conformation of this, Many thanks.

The child my have died soon after birth or the parents just may have not decided on a name...
