Marriage records

Hi,

I have just tried to search for my own marriage record, of when I got married in 2011 but the record of my marriage cannot be found??? Is that because it's too recent? When will this get added to the marriage records? Up to what year do the marriage records presently go, does anyone know?

Thanks,
Ali :-)

If you mean marriage records on line, I think 2004, and as far as I know, there are no plans to add more recent ones.

A few archives centres hold records beyond those online, but I don't think they have very recent ones.

Welcome to the boards Ali.
Ancestry has marriage indexes up to end of 2005.

I will have a look at the links you've mentioned.

Kind regards,
