I have loads of photographs and other material belonging to this gentleman. He died in 1988 in Gibson Street Kilmarnock Ayrshire. When he died his house was emptied and all contents put in a skip. He worked in a local Johnnie Walkers Whisky plant in the town. I rescued photographs many of family members, I would gladly hand all this info to any family member.I think he was born around 1892. There are lots of photographs taken in the Cornwall area.

Best suggestion that I can make would be to use the Search Trees facility, to see if anyone has him in their tree(s). Then you could contact the tree owner through GR's message system .......... just click on their name, and write your message in the box that appears.

But, please, remember to scroll down below that box, and untick the box that says something like "Share your tree"

Go to Search, top right hand side on the line near the top of the screen

Click on Search All Trees

Good luck

Does Scotland have a searchable data base (or place? for Wills and Probate/Administration?

If you could find if his Estate was listed, the record may show the names of the Executor/Administrator who you could then search for.

As England and Wales have a Bona Vacantia list for unclaimed Estates where there are no immediately apparent heirs, there must be an equivalent in Scotland. Somewhere else to check if there is nothing on the Propate Calendar equivalent.
