I've just benn searching for a person on someone else's tree. I but in the correct names but got no result. I knew she was there because the owner of the tree told me. I managed to find her by just using the surname but The first name was correct. Does anyone else have this problem?

If you mean on GR.....the 'search' facility is very erratic.

Yes, I wrote about it somewhere on these boards. The search only seems to work when you type in the surname. This brings up a list of people, if there are many with that name, for one to select from.

Bit cumbersome way of doing things but...

It was mentioned as well that some members have success with typing in the surname twith a ,(comma) after before typing the first name, I tried it but it didn't work for me.
