Ancestry tree export help

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

Hi everyone,

I have spent the past couple of days adding people to my Ancestry family tree. I have added photos and census documents to the records.

Is there a way of exporting this tree to FTM so that all the photos and documents are exported too?
I have tried exporting a GEDCOM file but it doesnt include all the photos/attachments etc.

Many thanks

As no one has replied...

....if you add FTM to your title, those who use that FH programme might be able to assist.

Apparently there is some way to 'link' the programme with your on line version. In normal circumstances, photos previously up-loaded to any on-line site won't transfer. As the FTM and Ancestry are from the same publishers, the census data 'might' transfer, but a user would have to advise if the images do as well. I suspect not, but could well be wrong

Have you read through the sections on this link to see if they help?

It is FTM 2012 that you can link directly to Ancestry. It transfers attachments, photos and stories.
