Have just noticed the dates of the sale per the newspapers and that Elizabeth says Elizabeth Mayhall was still in the property in 1901 - she wasn't:

Had a look through the newspaper archives and there are various mentions of the property.

In 1871 John Mayhall is mentioned as a subscriber to Leeds Infirmary

In 1886 there is the death notice and obituary of John Mayhall.

In 1888 a St Bernard dog belonging to William Hudson jnr of Rose Villa, Horsforth came 3rd in it's category at the Wharfedale Show.

From 1894 to 1896 a Mrs Hudson of Rose Villa advertised for servants on several occasions.

In 1895 Rose Villa, Scotland Lane, Horsforth was up for sale by private auction. There's quite a detailed description of the property.

In 1914 there's the will of John Peace Bradley who left £8255.

I'll contact Elizabeth to arrange to send her the articles.

Having compared the order of house names on Scotland Lane on the 1901 census image, with Scotland Lane on Google Streetview , I would say the house still exists, but under another name.
It seems to be the third old stone villa, on the left, when you travel along Scotland Lane from the junction with Brownberrie Lane.
Lomond; Scotland Villa; and then Rose Villa under its new name.
According to Zoopla, it has 5 beds, 3 baths, 3 reception.
