I am trying to purchase a Tasmanian Birth certificate. for Charles Ingram.
As I go back in years His Surname changes to Ingham. I know he was born in TASMANIA IN 1864. I know he had a wife called Florence Fawcett and that they were married in 1888. I have located his Father Charles and mother Annie but do not know her maiden name. She was born in Scotland, in 1841??. I am looking to purchase a Birth Certificate for Charles but don't want to pay out if it will not give me his mothers maiden name.
Is there anyone out there that can assure me that I should get all the details that I am looking for.
:-( :-D <3 Tichey.

Tichey,
The marriage of your Ann Mackey's parents took place as Safc said on 18th November 1859 in Blythswood,Glasgow,Lanark,Scotland. I had a few Scotlands People credits up my sleeve so I have it for you.
Groom was a corporal in the 14th Regiment of Foot
It states that both bride and groom were living at 5 Brown Street, Port Dundas Glasgow when they married at St Mark's Episcopal Church Glasgow.

Grooms father's : Andrew Ingram (sugar works labourer) (deceased)
Grooms mother : Margaret Hannah (deceased)

Bride's father : Thomas Mackie (shoemaker)
Bride's mother : Helen Baskin ?(deceased) (surname is a little unclear)

It is interesting that the bride's name is spelt "Mackey" while on the same certificate her father is "Mackie"
I shall forward it to you.
Kind regards,
Bill

Hi William
Good to hear from you.
Thank you for spending your last 2bob, 2/-. for me.
Although I live in Australia I was born in England a number of years ago now.
I would say you are almost the same vintage as me and our last 2 bob's are very scares.
Being a pensioner is not all its cracked up to be.
So I do realy appreciate the info.
You say you will forward the info to me .How will you do that?. I am a new recute at this stuff and need to know where to look.
Funny you should notice the change in the spelling of name of the bride.
The name Ingram which was my maiden name Has been spelt Ingham on a couple of occasions on the paper work.
Some times the original is hard to read.
Thanks again .I am looking forward to yor reply.
Have a great day.
