Super family photo! Far more natural than the studio portraits that many of us may have inherited :-D

UPS !!!! yes I forgot but PIPPIN HIrst was the intended keyword.
I told you it takes a while. Thanks KenSE

Yes I can see it. You need to give a keyword though in order for others to find it at a later date. I only found it as it is the only public photo loaded today.
Ken

Edit:
I mean you have to tell us the keyword(s). Pippin or Hirst would work.

Would some one like to try and view my posted photo on public view. Then I can say Hey Presto.
Thanks for all your advice folk. It just takes me a little time to work it out.
At my age I should be in the archive Folder.
Blessings

Thank you everyone .
You all must be Geniuses.

I finally managed to view the Skeeter Avatar. All I have to do now is learn how to post To Public then like you say DetEcTive"Hey Presto.

Sorry to be so long in my replying. Having lots of probs on GR but working through them with their help. They are very good and like all of you. Very Helpful.
Have a great day all of you. thanks again.
Tichey :-) :-D <3

Good tip just tried it.

Need to make the image public(tick the relevant box before saving) and give it a name - you can then tell everybody the name in your post and they can view it.

:-D

As Tichey is a fairly new poster, I will send a friendly message on how to return to this thread. :-)

Thanks DET found it

That's clever I suppose as long as you can work how to use keepsafe...I know one of my profile pics is in mine although I didn't put it there

Jax -

'Search' at the top of the page where the magnifying glass is, then select 'Members Photos and Documents' from the revealed options.

Type Skeeter in to the Keyword box and hey presto! :-D

Where do you type the word to see it please?

Thanks KenSE

My son had just finished telling me that it was possible to upload photos through "Keepsafe". I've used this site for almost 10 years and I don't think I know even the smallest fraction of what is possible.

It's really nice to see an avatar properly. Hope some people with loely old family photos as avatars will do the same as you.

I just tried worked perfectly

clever ...............

Kense Report 8 Jul 2013 08:55

You can upload a photo to keepsafe, make it public and give it a distinct title.

Then members who are interested can search on that title and see the photo.

I have just uploaded my avatar and made it public which you should be able to find using the word Skeeter.

The only place on the boards where a photo can be displayed is the avatar, which is too small for your purpose

Your best bet is to use 'search all trees' to find out if anyone else on GR is researching the same family.........then communicate by e-mail if you find a link

I've always thought that would be a good idea; but I don't think it's doable :-(
