If the father's name isn't on the birth certificate then you don't really stand much chance of finding out who it was unless there is somebody, possibly within the family, who knew and is willing to talk.

Is anyone researching the peace family from Warwickshire (Great Alne) i am interested in Emma Peace, my great Grandmother. I know she had a son John (my Grandfather) but didn't put a name for the father on his birth certificate,she later married a man named petiffer if anyone has anything at all because i have tried to find out but hit a brick wall.
