Have a look on National Archives Scotland.Not sure what they have, also think you have to visit to view records, but they do list Greenock prison records

Someone has made enquiries about English ones and was told that by now they would have been destroyed.

You could try searching the Scottish National Archive and see if that throws up anything? There may have been reports in the local newspapers of the time which could be another avenue to explore.

This site does have links to the British Newspaper Archives which seems to cover Scotland. You can also search them directly on the BNA site.

For greenock scotland between 1925-30.
Is there any such record to view at all.
